Karaoke Contests - Karaokeville

Karaoke contests can be as fun for the contestants as they are entertaining for the audience if they are orchestrated properly. If you decide to hold a contest, we recommend following the guidelines set by the American Karaoke Guild. There should be a minimum of three judges, none of whom are connected with the event.

Contestants in Karaokeville Contests are judged and scored by the following criteria:
a) Vocal Ability (quality, range, pitch) 1-50 points
b) Stage Presence/Professional Appearance (This may include
body language, style, form, attire, and physical appearance relative to artistic performance.) 1-20 points
c) Song Choice (difficulty; appropriateness for contestant's voice and appearance as well as event type) 1-20 points
d) Audience response (affirmations of audience engagement) 1-10 points
